In collaboration with the Cultural Division of the French Embassy, the AFM organizes an initial training course for teachers of French.

This two-week course is conducted in the months of April-May and is followed by a practical module of at least 100 hours of teaching in a class. At the end of the course, the trainees receive a "certificat d'aptitude" that enables them to teach in any of the 15 Alliances Française in India.

Minimum qualification for the course: MA French from a recognized university (with proficiency in spoken French) or "Diplôme Supérieur" of the Alliance Française of Paris.
