The Alliance Française of Madras has been offering French courses for more than 50 years and it continues to evolve so as to offer students best services to students and very competent teachers who regularly attend workshops for training in the fields of didactic, pedagogy, and culture. The Course Director is assisted by a person in charge of courses, the course counselor and she manages a team of about 40 teachers. The two annexes in Chennai, in Adyar and Virugambakkam and the three branches in Tamil Nadu, in Coimbatore, Madurai and Trichy also conduct courses of the same quality.

Teaching of the French language at the Alliance Française of Madras is progressive and we offer all levels of learning starting from level 1 (A1) to level 6 (C2). The student is invited to actively participate in the class and to develop his observation, thinking and communication capacities and also use the four 4 skills: oral and written comprehension, written and oral production in a very pleasant atmosphere. After every level, he continues his learning in the next higher level if authorized by the teacher. He can also have his skills validated by an internationally recognized diploma: the DELF and the DALF.
