Since 1997, the Alliance Française of Madras
has been in charge of the correspondence course in French,
offered all over India, at beginners's level.
The first registration should be done at the AF of Madras
but you can send your assignments to the tutor and attend
classes in AF all over India.
 Duration
of the course
1 year (an equivalent of 150 hours of a regular course).
Certification
If you get through the final examination held a year
from your registration date, you will receive a certificate
co-signed by the Alliance Française of Madras
and the representative of the Alliance Française
of Paris in New Delhi.
Course
material
Upon registration, you will receive the course material
: text book with explanations and translations in English
along with two audio cassettes. One more cassette containing
listening comprehension exercises will be sent to you
with the second assignment.
Assignments
You will receive 8 assignments at 45 days intervals.
You may complete these assignments and mail them to
your tutor who will correct them.
Contact
classes
You are entitled to 3 contact classes of 3 hours duration
each, to be held at an interval of 3 months. If you
register at the Alliance Française of Madras,
you may opt for classes at Chennai, or at our annexes
in Coimbatore or Madurai.
Registrations
fees
The fees may vary according to the AF where you are
going to attend the contact classes.
Rs 3500 including course material for AF Madras,
Rs 2200 including course material for AF Calcutta, Pune,
Trivandrum and Goa.
